Jefferson Unitarian Church is currently looking for a Director of Music Ministry to enhance their music program that is at the core of their mission. The music ministry thrives on a strong foundation of congregational singing, while also featuring dedicated music staff and active participation from members, children, and youth involved in various musical activities including choirs and handbells.

The chosen candidate will be pivotal in planning music for all worship services, directing the JUC Choir, and leading the Handbell Choir. This position also involves collaborating closely with ministers and other staff to promote the church's values through music.

Ideal applicants would possess strong musical abilities, with fluency in reading music, vocal techniques, and preferably instrumental skills. A collaborative spirit and emotional intelligence for engaging with congregants will be essential. Furthermore, the candidate should demonstrate an understanding of Unitarian Universalism and the role music plays in spiritual growth.

Working on-site at least three times a week, the Director of Music Ministry will be integral in overseeing various music-related activities and participating in staff meetings. They will also be responsible for supervising other music staff and will report directly to the Senior Minister
