Eminem has officially announced the upcoming release of an extended edition of his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grce). This new version will be titled Mourner's Edition and is set to include four additional tracks, among them a skit, alongside high-profile collaborations. One of the highlight tracks on the extended edition, titled "Fuel," features contributions from Westside Boogie, Gripp, and Kyrie & Luka, with a special appearance by 2 Chainz.
The announcement follows a visual teaser that was released earlier this month. It showcases an unusual encounter between Eminem and producer The Alchemist at a convenience store, which has generated significant excitement among fans.
The Death of Slim Shady has already seen remarkable success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. In its first week, the album sold 281,000 equivalent album units, marking Eminem’s 11th No. 1 album. This achievement puts him in a tie with major figures like Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand, and Ye for the fifth-most No. 1 albums in history.
Additionally, the original album set a record for the largest sales week for a rap album in 2024 and recorded the second-largest sales week for any digital album this year, second only to Taylor Swift. Fans can look forward to streaming Mourner's Edition on major platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. More details can be found on Hypebeast.
