Evanescence, the acclaimed gothic metal band, has officially revealed plans to enter the studio this coming November to work on their newest album. The announcement was made during an interview with 89 A Rdio Rock at the ongoing Rock In Rio festival in Brazil. Lead vocalist Amy Lee stated, "We're in the creative process right now, but we're not deep in the throes of it yet. We've been doing a lot of creating, and we just have, like, tons of ideas. So we're gonna get serious and get in the studio in November for the first round." This will be a follow-up to their 2021 album The Bitter Truth, which marked the band's first substantial release of new material since their self-titled album in 2011.

While discussing the new album, Lee emphasized the excitement surrounding the creative process, teasing that they've amassed a plethora of ideas that they are eager to develop further. Evanescence rose to prominence with their debut album Fallen, released in March 2003, which included the iconic single "Bring Me to Life." The band has maintained a robust presence in the metal music scene, and their latest album was well-received, earning a 7/10 rating from Metal Hammer journalist Dannii Leivers. Most recently, Evanescence was announced as one of the artists performing at the upcoming Musicians For Kamala livestream, joining other notable acts such as The Doors' John Densmore and Living Colour.

Fans eagerly await new material from the band and the potential evolution of their signature sound as they embark on this new chapter.
