ESPN is currently seeking a Music Licensing Assistant to enhance its Music Licensing Department in Bristol, Connecticut. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that music licenses are accurately processed in a timely manner. Responsibilities will include generating cue sheets, maintaining metadata for ESPN-owned copyrights, and assisting in organizing music documentation. This position will require collaboration with other music assistants to manage the distribution and organization of music licenses to streamline operations.

The Music Licensing Assistant will not only help in the preparation and filing of documentation but also track ESPN's programming across affiliate networks, ensuring compliance through cue sheet submissions. Applicants should ideally have 1 to 2 years of experience related to broadcast or music licensing and must exhibit strong communication skills and organizational capabilities.

Additionally, familiarity with software such as Soundmouse, SynchTank, and Smartsheet is preferred. While a high school diploma is a minimum requirement, a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Proficiency in both Mac and PC operating systems is essential, as well as a general understanding of technical operations related to music. Understanding Spanish could also be an advantage in this role as it may involve communication with a diverse set of partners.
