The development of "For Cryin' Out Loud!" stemmed from a series of live studio sessions in Los Angeles, where FINNEAS brought together friends and collaborators to create new music. This process marks a departure from the polished production style of his debut album, "Optimist," released in 2021. Instead, the new album aims to reflect more traditional band dynamics.
Accompanying the release of "Cleats" is a whimsical music video directed by Isaac Ravishankara, which adds a visual element to the upbeat sound of the single. The album's release follows FINNEAS' extensive collaboration with his sister, Billie Eilish, further solidifying his position as a multifaceted artist within the music industry.
