FKA twigs has unveiled the first single from her upcoming studio album, titled "EUSEXUA." This track, which also carries the album's name, is a collaboration with producers Eartheater and Koreless and presents a vibrant euro-trance sound. Announced via her Instagram, twigs shared insights into the album's genesis, mentioning a rave she attended in Prague where she coined the term "EUSEXUA," describing it as a practice, a state of being, and the core of her artistic expression, referring to it as her opus.
The album is set to release on January 24, 2025, and promises a "transcendental rave masterpiece." FKA twigs' forthcoming project could be seen as a darker counterpart to Charli XCX's recent light-hearted release, "Brat," which dropped this past summer. In 2022, twigs came out with the genre-blending mixtape "Caprisongs," which featured 17 tracks crossing over various styles including indie electronic and reggaeton.
Besides her new music, twigs has been active with a variety of projects, including her role in the film "The Crow," collaborations focused on generative AI advocacy at the U.S. Congress, and a new partnership with performance apparel brand On.
