Fontaines D.C. have shared their disinterest regarding the recent reunion of Britpop giants Oasis, expressing that they could not be less concerned about the news. The iconic band has announced a world tour for 2025, which includes sold-out stadium shows in major cities such as Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. The reunion has sparked considerable excitement among fans, with the initial 14 dates quickly selling out and additional shows announced for London in September 2025.

However, Conor Deegan III and Carlos O'Connell of Fontaines D.C. conveyed their disappointment surrounding the nostalgic fervor surrounding the reunion during an interview with Studio Brussel. "I couldn't really give a shit, to be honest," O'Connell stated, while Deegan added that they feel trapped in a nostalgic cycle that detracts from creating new and innovative music.

Their debut album 'Dogrel' [] contrasted sharply with their latest release 'Romance', which showcases a new creative direction they aim to explore. O'Connell and Deegan articulated frustration over Oasis reforming at such a pivotal moment for their band, which seeks to look to the future rather than the past.

Fontaines D.C. are gearing up for their own projects, with an expanded UK and Ireland headline tour scheduled for later this year and an upcoming outdoor show in London's Finsbury Park in July 2025, featuring support from Amyl And The Sniffers and Kneecap. The band emphasizes their desire to break free from the constraints of nostalgia and continually evolve their sound.
