Fontaines D.C. have openly voiced their discontent in response to Oasis's highly anticipated reunion and world tour set for 2025. The legendary Britpop band will embark on a tour covering multiple sold-out stadiums in major cities such as Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Initial reports suggest that the first 14 tour dates were snapped up quickly, resulting in additional shows being added in London, scheduled for September 2025.

In an interview broadcasted on Studio Brussel, band members Conor Deegan III and Carlos O'Connell expressed their frustrations regarding the wave of nostalgia the Oasis reunion has elicited. O'Connell remarked bluntly, "I couldn't really give a shit, to be honest," reflecting a broader concern about the music industry's relentless focus on past eras. Deegan echoed this sentiment, implying that the nostalgia associated with legacy acts impedes their own creative expression and aspirations.

Fontaines D.C., known for their breakthrough album "Dogrel," recently released a new project titled "Romance," which they claim emphasizes their dedication to artistic evolution. The band reiterated their preference for contemporary sounds over the nostalgic trends they criticize.

Additionally, Fontaines D.C. are set for a packed performance schedule in 2025, including a headline tour across the UK and Ireland. A significant highlight will occur during their concert at London's Finsbury Park in July 2025, featuring support from Amyl And The Sniffers and Kneecap. This lineup demonstrates their commitment to a continuously evolving artistic identity, countering the nostalgia they critique.
