Universal Music Group (UMG), the leading music company globally, is currently seeking a motivated individual to join their North American Copyright team. This position plays a significant role in the administration team, which manages the vital data that drives licensing, registrations, and royalty collections for UMG artists and songwriters.

The successful applicant will be engaged in tasks that include accurate and timely data entry for all North American songs in UMG's systems, ensuring compliance with global standards. This role requires a detailed understanding of data quality, as the team frequently collaborates with various industry collection societies.

Key responsibilities involve responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service, and liaising with agencies such as ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC. The applicant will also assist with resolving disputes over song agreements and protecting the copyrights of UMG's artists.

UMG is looking for candidates who are passionate about music and dedicated to supporting songwriters and rights holders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working well in a collaborative environment. Experience in the music publishing industry is advantageous but not mandatory, as a willingness to learn is equally valued.
