Kiss icon Gene Simmons has voiced his support for the newly reformed Linkin Park lineup, emphasizing that they deserve the same opportunity as other bands who have continued after losing original members. Simmons made these comments in light of Linkin Park's recent announcement that they are returning to the stage, seven years following the death of their original vocalist, Chester Bennington.

The new lineup features Emily Armstrong as the lead vocalist, and the band has already played multiple sold-out arena shows. While some fans have praised the move for not attempting to replicate Bennington's vocal style, others have expressed skepticism, believing that Linkin Park cannot exist without him.

Simmons has pointed to several other successful bands as examples, including Lynyrd Skynyrd and AC/DC, which continued to thrive despite significant lineup changes. In an interview with Forbes, he noted: "Life is short. Go out there and live it up, enjoy it. Linkin Park got fans. They want to hear the songs and the music. Why not?"

Tickets for Linkin Park's upcoming shows have shown strong sales, suggesting that many fans are excited to experience the band's new direction. Following their U.S. dates, the group is expected to tour the UK, Germany, South Korea, and Colombia, continuing their comeback tour across the globe. Read more on the Classic Rock website.
