Lunar Vacation has released their latest single, "Fantasy," a precursor to their highly anticipated album, Everything Matters, Everything's Fire, set to drop on September 13 via Keeled Scales. The new track showcases the band's signature blend of swirling synths layered with delicate guitar melodies and ethereal vocals.
In "Fantasy," lyricist and vocalist Gep Repasky offers insight into the song’s thematic essence, stating, "It takes a look inside of my daydreams that are sometimes difficult to get away from. Sometimes it’s more comfortable to live in your own bubble and watch scenarios in your head all day." The composition intentionally creates a feeling of isolation, with verses characterized by stripped-back instrumentation, before the full band joins for a dynamic, immersive chorus that mirrors the complexities of intrusive thoughts.
The release adds to the buzz surrounding the band's forthcoming album, following the critical acclaim of their previous work. Following the album release, Lunar Vacation will embark on a North American tour kicking off in Atlanta, GA on September 13 at Criminal Records. The tour will feature stops in various cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Dallas before winding down in Houston, TX on September 20.
