Manchester’s electro-punk trio, The Cutter, has officially released their second single, following their keenly received debut track, "Pulling Me In." The latest offering continues to showcase the band’s signature blend of machine-driven rhythms and raw human emotion. The song encapsulates the tension of urban existence with its mix of poetic lyrics and a pulsating techno-inspired backdrop, typical of Manchester's musical landscape.

Led by vocalist Ewan Kinrade, who delivers a haunting yet powerful performance, the track weaves dark imagery with emotive storytelling. The layers of sound present a vivid portrait of contemporary life in the city, reflecting its abandonment and chaos. Kinrade’s vocals serve as a narrative thread interspersed with the mechanical growls of synthesizers and aggressive guitars, adding an almost cinematic quality to the single.

The Cutter’s sounds evoke comparisons to the styles of legendary Mancunian figures like Johnny Marr and their contemporary influences, building a bridge across musical eras. Their distinctive approach taps into a mix of hedonism and emotional disarray, challenging listeners to confront their narratives through evocative soundscapes. The single’s release is timely with their upcoming live performances, including a headline show at Manchester’s Castle Hotel on September 21st, 2024. Fans eagerly anticipate this live debut, which promises to further the trio's cohesiveness and energy in a live setting.

Tour dates are set for:

  • Sat Sep 21st - Manchester, Castle Hotel
  • Wed Oct 9th - Sheffield, Hallamshire Hotel
  • Thur Oct 17th - London, 100 Club
  • Wed Oct 24th - Manchester, YES (Pink Room)
