Heavy metal giants Mastodon and Lamb of God have joined forces to release their new collaborative single titled "Floods of Triton." The energetic track showcases the bands' stylistic evolution while mirroring elements of their earlier works. The single made its debut following the conclusion of their co-headlined arena tour, which celebrated the 20th anniversaries of Mastodon’s influential album "Leviathan" and Lamb of God’s iconic "Ashes of the Wake."

This partnership signifies the enduring legacy of both bands within the heavy music scene, with the song embodying the innovative spirit found in their past records while also emphasizing a continued commitment to creativity. "Floods of Triton" was recorded at Mastodon’s own West End Sound studio in Atlanta and produced by both the band and acclaimed producer Tyler Bates. Bates is recognized for his work on the soundtracks of films such as "Guardians of The Galaxy" and "John Wick."

Released under Loma Vista Recordings, the single is currently available for fans, with vinyl pre-orders also on offer, contributing to the bands’ robust discographies.

Looking ahead, Mastodon is set to perform at the Good Things Festival in Australia this December. They will share the stage with other notable acts such as Korn, Sum 41, and Electric Callboy. The festival will take place across multiple venues and dates, with ticket sales available through Oztix. For those eager to add the new single to their collections, it can be found via Loma Vista Recordings. This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for both Mastodon and Lamb of God, symbolizing fresh beginnings in their respective musical journeys.
