Experimental pop duo MEMORIALS has released a new remix of Jane Weaver's track "Univers", originally featured on her album Love In Constant Spectacle. This remix is a part of MEMORIALS' approach to explore the boundaries of jazz, psychedelia, folk, and electronica, resulting in a fresh take on Weaver's work.
The duo, known for their innovative sound, has stated that they enjoyed the process of "speeding everything up, making tape loops of the vocals, extending the ending," blending their distinct musical flavor while preserving the gentle psych and motorik elements of the original song. They expressed admiration for Weaver's vocal prowess, stating, "Jane's voice is so great, and building a new world for it to exist in was a treat."
In addition to the release of the remix, MEMORIALS will participate in a special end-of-year performance alongside Jane Weaver at The Trades Club in Hebden Bridge, UK, on December 14. This concert marks the conclusion of Weaver's European and UK tour.
