Music Tectonics has officially announced its upcoming online pre-conference, taking place on September 11, 2024. This virtual event will showcase a keynote address by Tatiana Cirisano, a leading analyst from MIDiA, who will discuss the future of the music industry and the emerging bifurcation into traditional and creator-centered sectors. The conference is designed not only to set the stage for the in-person Conference and Creator Fair scheduled for October 22-24, 2024, but also to highlight pitches from ten semi-finalists in the Swimming with Narwhals competition, aimed at supporting innovative music tech startups.

Dmitri Vietze, founder of Music Tectonics, emphasized the importance of maintaining connections through both online and offline events, noting the successes of virtual gatherings observed during the pandemic. "Virtual events let us unite the entire music tech community across the globe," he stated.

The online pre-conference will run from 10 AM to 12:30 PM PT, which is 1 PM to 3:30 PM ET and 6 PM to 8:30 PM UK time. Access to the event is included for all conference ticket holders. Tickets can be purchased through the Music Tectonics website, and there is a chance to win a free ticket by entering before September 2, 2024.

Cirisano's discussion will be a precursor to her appearance in October alongside MIDiA's Mark Mulligan, who will further explore the distinctions between the traditional streaming-focused music business and the newer creator-centered market. The pre-conference serves as a prime opportunity for participants to engage with these hot-button issues in the evolving landscape of the music industry.
