National Album Day has unveiled a lineup of exclusive releases and reissues slated for Saturday, October 19. This year’s event, themed around Great British Groups, will feature significant titles from various iconic British artists. Some of the highlighted artists include All Saints, Babyshambles, Culture Club, and The Rolling Stones.
All Saints' debut album will be released on green vinyl, showcasing hits like 'Never Ever' and 'Bootie Call'. Babyshambles’ 2007 album 'Shotter's Nation' is getting a reissue on clear vinyl. Likewise, Judas Priest celebrates their 55th anniversary with a reissue of 'British Steel' on a special vinyl edition, featuring classic tracks such as 'Breaking the Law'.
Mumford & Sons’ 'Sigh No More', known for its role in the folk-rock revival, will also see a new release on ultra-clear vinyl. The Spice Girls will release a clear-vinyl reissue of their influential debut, featuring hits like 'Wannabe' and 'Say You'll Be There'. Other notable mentions include Suede’s 30th anniversary reissue of 'Dog Man Star' and Travis’ classic album 'The Man Who' in a special 25th-anniversary pressing.
National Album Day was established in 2018 and aims to celebrate and promote the relevance of albums in the modern music landscape. The full list of exclusive titles available for pre-order started on September 12 and will be available for purchase on the event date. The initiative is supported by a variety of organizations, including the BPI and ERA, and has garnered endorsements from numerous artists across genres.
