The Archdiocese of Detroit is currently seeking an Assistant Musician of Sacred Music to join their team. This full-time position, with an exempt/salary status, will support the parish Director of Sacred Music in leading the music program and ensuring active participation in liturgical celebrations.

The Assistant Musician will be responsible for leading or accompanying the congregation during masses, rehearsing with ensembles, and selecting appropriate music for various liturgies. The position involves collaborating closely with the Director of Sacred Music, planning music for weddings and funerals, and conducting the Handbell Choir.

Candidates for this role should possess a Master's Degree in Music or Sacred Music, along with a minimum of three years' experience as a music minister. The ideal applicant should demonstrate strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering a vibrant worship atmosphere. This role includes evening and weekend responsibilities, and the candidate must be an active member of the Catholic Church.
