Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have officially announced their collaboration on the soundtrack for the upcoming adaptation of Cave's 2009 novel, "Death Of Bunny Munro." In a recent interview with NME, Ellis shared insights about the project, hinting that it might include stylistic elements reminiscent of their earlier work with the band Grinderman. "Yes, we are. I don't know if I'm meant to say that. Nick's been involved in overseeing it in some capacity, just looking on. We are doing the music for it. That might be the chance for a bit of the old Grinderman, maybe!"

The adaptation, initially proposed in 2010, was officially announced by Sky Studios in November 2023. It has garnered significant interest, particularly with the casting of Matt Smith in the lead role. As updates continue to emerge, Cave has expressed a mix of nostalgia and enthusiasm about revisiting their collaborative process.

Ellis also added a playful reference to Cave's historical moustache in their interview, suggesting the musical style may reflect the timeline surrounding 2009, which aligns with the original publication of the novel.

In addition to the soundtrack developments, fans of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are eagerly anticipating their North American tour, which kicks off today in support of their latest album, "Wild God." This tour marks the band's return to live performances after a seven-year hiatus, with general ticket sales having launched on September 13, 2024.
