Nick Ward, the rising Australian singer-songwriter, has unveiled an exclusive playlist that reflects the soundtrack of his first tour across Europe. As part of NME's ongoing feature The Cover, which highlights new artists from around the globe, Ward's playlist includes an array of influential tracks from acclaimed artists such as Aphex Twin, The Cure, and Stereolab. In addition, a relatively new track by the Australian duo Armlock, "Fear," also makes an appearance.

The playlist was launched to coincide with his feature on the September 9 edition of The Cover, a renewed commitment from NME to support emerging talent. For more insights on Ward's journey, check out the full profile here, which includes a detailed interview alongside photography from Dean Podmore.

Ward's tour took place earlier this year and featured a notable performance at the All Points East festival this past August. In his reflections, the 23-year-old musician discussed the personal significance of his debut album titled 'House With The Blue Door'. He emphasized themes of identity, family ties, and struggles with self-acceptance during his youth, stating, "Making music is an act of becoming a better person."

Additionally, Nick Ward shared his experiences working with fellow artist Troye Sivan on the pop star's recent album 'Something To Give Each Other', mentioning the profound learning experience it provided him. Ward is set to join Sivan as an opening act on his upcoming Australia tour. To listen to the complete playlist, it is available on both Spotify and Apple Music.
