Nicki Minaj has unexpectedly scrapped the deluxe edition of her recently released album, 'Pink Friday 2', favoring the production of a new album titled 'Pink Friday 3'. On September 16, 2024, Minaj announced her decision to her fans via social media, stating that the songs she recorded were too good to remain as part of a deluxe project. The original plan had been to release more than three but fewer than seven additional songs for 'Pink Friday 2', initially set for September 13. However, this will no longer proceed.

The rapper's communication indicates that instead of the deluxe version, new tracks will be part of 'Pink Friday 3', which she described as crucial to her artistic evolution. In her posts, Minaj highlighted the excitement surrounding the new material, stating, "The new music is just too good to be thrown away on a deluxe album."

Fans can expect to hear several intended tracks from the scrapped deluxe, including songs titled '#Mamita' and an untitled 'anxiety song' during the remainder of her ongoing world tour. Recently, Minaj has embarked on the North American leg of her 'Gag City Reloaded' tour, which follows her earlier performances in the UK and Europe.

Minaj's commitment to delivering fresh and impactful music continues as she builds anticipation for 'Pink Friday 3'. The announcement has created a buzz among her dedicated fanbase, known as the Barbz, as they await further details regarding the album's release date and new singles.
