Robin Guy, an acclaimed drummer celebrated for his contributions to notable rock bands like Rachel Stamp, Sham 69, and All About Eve, has died at the age of 55 on September 8, 2024. His wife, Jessica Rushton, shared the heartbreaking news via a statement on his Facebook page. In her message, she described her profound sorrow, stating, "This is the hardest thing I will ever have to write. With absolute devastation I have to announce the passing of the brightest star, Robin, after a 6-year battle with cancer."

The news of Guy's passing has led to an outpouring of tributes from across the music community. Julianne Regan, frontwoman of All About Eve, reflected on Guy's enduring influence, saying, "Gone, but what an impression he made. It was such a privilege to have known him."

Music journalist Simon Price also spoke about Guy’s magnetic stage presence, underlining the dynamic energy he infused into every performance. Professor Marcus Smith, who worked alongside Guy in the Clem Burke Drumming Project, commended him as a "fantastic person" and acknowledged his important influence on those he inspired.

In light of the financial burdens stemming from funeral expenses, a GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist Rushton during this difficult period.
