This position plays a crucial role in managing the day-to-day licensing matters for Sony Music Entertainment (SME), especially focusing on sample licensing agreements for its US labels, including well-known divisions like Arista, Columbia, Epic, and RCA.

Key Responsibilities:
The Coordinator will assist with various licensing tasks, such as negotiating, drafting, and administering sample licensing agreements. Additional responsibilities include tracking upcoming releases related to samples and collaborating with different teams to collect necessary information concerning sample clearances. Maintaining and updating databases to ensure accuracy and preparing clearance status reports are also part of the job duties.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in business affairs or licensing in the music or entertainment sector. A basic understanding of music licensing and copyright law is crucial. Candidates must exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with music industry software is also required.
