UK pop prog duo Tears For Fears have officially announced the release of their first live album titled Songs For A Nervous Planet, scheduled for release on October 25, 2023 via Concord Music. This highly anticipated project includes a collection of the band's best-known songs alongside four new studio tracks including the singles Say Goodbye To Mum And Dad, Emily Said, Astronaut, and the newly launched The Girl That I Call Home.

The band shared a music video for the latter, which they describe as a heartfelt tribute with a personal backstory. Roland Orzabal, the guitarist and vocalist, explained that the song, which he dedicated to his wife Emily, took years to create, finally coming together during a trip to Hawaii.

Additionally, Tears For Fears will release a concert film titled Tears For Fears Live (A Tipping Point Film). This film captures their performance at the FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, TN during their sold-out global Tipping Point Tour Part 2. The concert film will premiere in over 1,100 cinemas worldwide from October 24 to October 26. Tickets for the premiere will go on sale starting September 19.

Songs For A Nervous Planet will be available in various formats, including a deluxe triple vinyl set, a two-LP vinyl edition, CD, and digital album. Fans can currently pre-order the album, and tracklists along with new artwork have been revealed. This marks a significant moment for the band, as they have never released an official live album until now, spanning their career dating back to the 1980s.
