Terry Slesser, the renowned lead singer of Back Street Crawler, is set to unveil his debut solo album, titled Forever Blue. This milestone project represents a significant chapter in Slesser's extensive musical career, which commenced 50 years ago when he collaborated with guitarist Paul Kossoff after departing from the band Free in 1975.

Forever Blue will be released as a limited edition CD starting tomorrow, September 13, with a digital version scheduled to launch on November 15 via Momojo Records. A vinyl version is also expected later this year. The album is described by Slesser as a "swan song life story" and features original members from Back Street Crawler.

The recording took place in Los Angeles and includes bassist Terry Wilson from Back Street Crawler among its contributors. Co-written alongside Mark Taylor, who has collaborated with notable artists such as The Alarm and Elton John, the album showcases a variety of talented musicians including drummer Tony Braunagel and guitarists Geoff Whitehorn, John Buckton, and Snuffy Walden, the latter having previously worked on Free's last album Heartbreaker. Walden's post-Free career includes notable composition work for popular TV series like The West Wing and Roseanne.

Slesser conveyed that bringing this album to fruition has been metaphorically 50 years in the making. Two tracks were co-written with Mond Cowie of Angelic Upstarts, while the majority of the songs were developed over the last three years during the pandemic. He expresses deep gratitude toward his former bandmates for helping realize the vision they started decades ago, with significant lyrical contributions influenced by Paul Kossoff.

The title track, Forever Blue, is now available along with a demo of Rome In A Day. Slesser’s extensive career has included auditions for major rock bands like AC/DC and Iron Maiden, as well as contributions to Def Leppard's celebrated album Pyromania, underscoring his lasting presence in the rock music scene.

Fans wishing to acquire the CD can purchase it directly from Terry Slesser. For additional information and updates, fans can check Classic Rock and Momojo Records.

This album signifies an important moment in Slesser’s long-standing career, highlighting both a sense of nostalgia and artistic evolution.
