Terry Slesser, renowned as the lead singer of Back Street Crawler, is set to release his debut solo album titled Forever Blue. This milestone project marks a significant achievement in Slesser's career, concluding a musical journey that began 50 years ago when he collaborated with guitarist Paul Kossoff after leaving Free in 1975.
Forever Blue will be available as a limited edition CD starting tomorrow, September 13, with a digital release scheduled for November 15 via Momojo Records. Additionally, a vinyl version is anticipated later this year. According to Slesser, the album is reflective of a “swan song life story” and includes original members from Back Street Crawler.

The recording was conducted in Los Angeles featuring Back Street Crawler's bassist Terry Wilson. The album was co-written with Mark Taylor, who has collaborated with notable artists including The Alarm and Elton John. Among the many talented musicians involved are drummer Tony Braunagel and guitarists Geoff Whitehorn, John Buckton, and Snuffy Walden, the latter previously associated with Free's last album, Heartbreaker. Walden has since built a successful career composing music for popular television series such as The West Wing and Roseanne.

Slesser shared that the effort to produce this album has been metaphorically 50 years in the making. Two songs were co-written with Mond Cowie of Angelic Upstarts, while most tracks were developed over the past three years during the pandemic. He expresses sincere gratitude toward his former bandmates for finalizing the vision they began decades ago, emphasizing the enduring impact of Paul Kossoff in the album's lyrics.

The title track, Forever Blue, is now available along with a demo of Rome In A Day. Slesser’s prolific career has included auditions for major rock bands such as AC/DC and Iron Maiden, as well as contributions to Def Leppard's acclaimed album Pyromania, affirming his lasting presence in the rock music scene.
Fans interested in acquiring the CD can purchase it directly from Terry Slesser.
