After taking time away from the spotlight to engage in grassroots volunteer work and teaching, he has recently re-emerged creatively, producing emotionally rich music. His process involves capturing melodies in his head and refining them through improvisation and exploration with synthesizers. Dreijer emphasizes the importance of humility and awareness in music, particularly regarding cultural influences and appropriation. His teaching experiences have taught him much about creativity and the diverse backgrounds of his students.
