Post-punk icons The Chameleons have announced the release of a new five-song EP titled "Tomorrow Remember Yesterday," set for October 11 via Metropolis Records (digital) and Aufnahme+Wiedergarbe (vinyl). This upcoming EP follows their previous release "Where Are You?" from May 2024 and acts as a precursor to their anticipated album "Arctic Moon," which is scheduled for release in 2025.

Mark Burgess, the band's vocalist and bassist, shared that the newly recorded tracks are some of the earliest compositions they created prior to their debut John Peel session in 1981. The band felt these songs were initially unfinished and deserving of a second chance.

The EP will open with "The Fan and the Bellows," a track that was once considered for their debut single but was eventually sidelined in favor of their well-known tune "In Shreds." Other notable tracks included in the EP are "Nostalgia," which shares its name with the EP and was recorded during the same sessions as the lead track under the production of acclaimed producer Steve Lillywhite.

As part of their promotional activities, The Chameleons are currently touring Europe, with plans to return to the U.S. in the autumn, followed by seven shows across the UK and Ireland in December. A full schedule of their European tour is available here.

The complete track listing for "Tomorrow Remember Yesterday" is as follows:

  1. The Fan and the Bellows
  2. Nostalgia
  3. Nathan's Phase
  4. Every Day I'm Crucified
  5. Things I Wish I'd Said

Additionally, the band expressed enthusiasm for their upcoming album "Arctic Moon," which they say will offer a sound evolution, aiming for a more mature audio experience. This record will mark their first full-length release since "Why Call it Anything?" in 2001.
