Post-punk icons The Chameleons have officially announced the release of their new five-song EP titled Tomorrow Remember Yesterday, which is set to drop on October 11 via Metropolis Records for digital formats and Aufnahme+Wiedergarbe for vinyl. This new EP follows their previous release, Where Are You? from May 2024, and serves as a precursor to their much-anticipated album, Arctic Moon, scheduled for a 2025 release.

Mark Burgess, the band’s vocalist and bassist, noted that the newly recorded tracks are some of their earliest compositions, originally created before their debut John Peel session in 1981. Burgess articulated that these songs felt unfinished at the time and deserved a fresh opportunity for exposure.

The EP will commence with "The Fan and the Bellows," a track previously considered for their debut single, which ultimately lost out to their classic hit, "In Shreds." Other significant tracks on the EP include "Nostalgia," the namesake of the project, recorded during the same sessions under the skilled guidance of renowned producer Steve Lillywhite.

In support of the new release, The Chameleons are currently on tour across Europe, with plans to return to the U.S. in the autumn, followed by a series of seven shows in the UK and Ireland during December. For a detailed schedule of their European tour, fans can find information here.

The complete track listing for Tomorrow Remember Yesterday is as follows:

  1. The Fan and the Bellows
  2. Nostalgia
  3. Nathan's Phase
  4. Every Day I'm Crucified
  5. Things I Wish I'd Said

The band is also looking forward to Arctic Moon, which they expect to showcase a more evolved sound, representing a significant audio maturation for them since their last full-length album, Why Call it Anything? released in 2001.
