Post-punk icons The Chameleons have officially announced the release of their new five-song EP titled Tomorrow Remember Yesterday, slated to drop on October 11 via Metropolis Records for digital formats and Aufnahme+Wiedergarbe for vinyl. This upcoming EP comes on the heels of their previous release, Where Are You?, which debuted in May 2024 and is a precursor to their much-anticipated album, Arctic Moon, expected in 2025.

Mark Burgess, the band’s vocalist and bassist, revealed that the newly recorded tracks are among their earliest compositions, originally created before their debut John Peel session in 1981. He expressed that these songs had felt unfinished at that time and warranted a fresh opportunity for exposure.

The EP will commence with "The Fan and the Bellows," a track once considered for their debut single that ultimately lost out to their iconic hit, "In Shreds." Other notable tracks include "Nostalgia," named after the EP itself, recorded during the same sessions under the expert guidance of prominent producer Steve Lillywhite.

In support of the new release, The Chameleons are currently on tour throughout Europe, with plans to return to the U.S. in the autumn, followed by a series of seven shows in the UK and Ireland in December. For those interested in their European tour schedule, more information can be found here.

The complete track listing for Tomorrow Remember Yesterday is as follows:

  1. The Fan and the Bellows
  2. Nostalgia
  3. Nathan's Phase
  4. Every Day I'm Crucified
  5. Things I Wish I'd Said

The band is also eager for the release of Arctic Moon, which they anticipate will showcase a more evolved sound, representing significant audio maturation since their last full-length album, Why Call it Anything?, which was released in 2001.
