The Heavy Heavy, a UK-based rock band recognized for their unique sound and energetic performances, released their debut album, One Of A Kind, today through ATO Records. Drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as the Rolling Stones, Motown, and 1990s Brit rock, the album features themes of empowerment, joy, and self-reflection, creating a rich sonic landscape.

The album has already made waves in the industry, particularly with its lead single, Happiness, which recently achieved No. 1 status on both AAA and Americana Radio. This marks the band's first-ever No. 1 single and builds upon the success of their earlier EP, Life and Life Only, which garnered Top 5 hits with tracks like Miles and Miles and Go Down River.

One Of A Kind showcases a variety of standout tracks, including the title song, the affectionate ballad Because You’re Mine, and Miracle Sun, a bass-driven piece that blends haze with rhythm. The album reflects a shift towards embracing their British roots, moving away from the Laurel Canyon folk sound to a more gritty, groove-heavy style reminiscent of the Rolling Stones' Goats Head Soup.

Fans can catch The Heavy Heavy live when they embark on their fall tour starting September 21 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY, before wrapping up on October 25 in Chicago at Thalia Hall. Venues along their U.S. tour include notable spots like Washington, DC's Howard Theatre and Los Angeles' Troubadour. For those interested in tickets and full routing, details can be found on their website.
