UK progressive rock band The Pineapple Thief has announced the release of their new EP entitled Last To Run, set to drop on November 8 through Kscope Records. This unexpected release comes with 20 minutes of previously unreleased material that was created during the recording sessions of their acclaimed album It Leads To This, which was released in 2024.
Bruce Soord, the band's frontman, revealed in a statement that creating the final track listing for It Leads To This required difficult decisions, leading to the inclusion of various songs and ideas that have since evolved significantly. Soord expressed his enthusiasm for the EP, noting that it captures a different mood and sound not initially envisioned during the album's recording process.
Last To Run will be available across multiple formats, including green vinyl, CD, and digital release. Fans can pre-order the EP now.
In addition to the EP announcement, The Pineapple Thief is gearing up for a North American tour starting in November and running into December, with additional dates announced for Chile and Mexico. The tour features support from Randy McStine, who previously joined the band on their recent European tour. Here are the North American tour dates:
