Warmduscher has unveiled their latest single, "Pure At The Heart," featuring Janet Planet of Confidence Man. The track, which can be streamed here, serves as a preview of the London-based post-punk band's fifth studio album, Too Cold To Hold, set for release on November 15. According to Warmduscher's Ben Romans-Hopcraft, the concept for the song had been brewing for some time. "I wanted to make something with emotional weight but sparkly and fun," he stated.
The collaboration with Janet Planet emerged organically during a gathering, where Romans-Hopcraft played the track for her. Enthusiastically, she began to sing the bridge melody, revitalizing the song's direction. Lead vocalist Clams Baker Jr. explained that "Pure At The Heart" reflects the experience of being one of the last people on the dance floor as the club closes, hinting at adventures with a newfound stranger.
The single is accompanied by an official music video directed by Brandon Young and Harvey Wells, known collectively as Godfearing, who documented their quick filming process. This release follows Warmduscher's earlier tracks, "Staying Alive" and "Fashion Week," which also preview the upcoming album.
In addition to the new single, Warmduscher will embark on a headline tour across the UK and Europe starting next month.
