Jakob von Massenbach, known professionally as Mas Bokus, has officially released his sophomore album, titled Reconnecting. Released under ||||||||||||||||||||'s label, 110100100.global, the album reflects a three-year journey of self-exploration and artistic development.

The album’s title signifies a return to previous connections, whether it be rekindling friendships or reconnecting with oneself. Consisting of ten tracks, Reconnecting offers a rich blend of deep ambient landscapes, compelling field recordings, and dynamic drum breaks, alongside emotional vocal samples. It aims to capture the essence of rediscovering identity through sound.

Commenting on the process, Jakob stated, "The phrase 'it won't be like this forever' has resonated a lot with me...It's a lot about taking your time, processing time, but also seeing the moment." He emphasizes the collaborative nature of the project, crediting friends not only for emotional support but also for assistance with mixing and mastering.

Listeners are encouraged to explore tracks such as "Human" which transitions from a warm downtempo vibe to an experimental lullaby, and "Windows and Radiators," which caters to fans of synthwave, drawing on influences similar to those of artists like Tycho and RJD2.

Reconnecting is available on major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, TIDAL, and Amazon Music.

This album is a dedication to the experiences that shape our identities, inviting listeners to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery through its intricate soundscapes.
