In an exciting collaborative project in London, musicians Courtney Love, Thurston Moore, Deb Googe from My Bloody Valentine, and Adrian Utley of Portishead have teamed up to cover songs by renowned singer-songwriter Marianne Faithfull. This initiative has been confirmed by various sources and is also highlighted in recent social media posts.

The artists gathered at Konk Studios, the iconic facility owned by the legendary British band the Kinks. Notably, the project is being produced by Rob Ellis, a celebrated figure who has a long-standing partnership with PJ Harvey. On September 10, Googe shared images from the studio day via Instagram, expressing her enthusiasm, stating, "I spent a day in the Kinks' studio, covering Marianne Faithfull songs."

Utley also expressed his excitement for the project, calling it an exceptional blend of music and film. However, many specifics about the project's goals remain undisclosed, adding to the intrigue surrounding this ensemble of musicians, particularly as Faithfull's influence on the music landscape continues to resonate.

Last December, the tribute album 'The Faithfull: A Tribute To Marianne Faithfull' was released, featuring covers from various artists, including Iggy Pop and Cat Power, presenting 19 tracks originally by Faithfull. Furthermore, she is preparing to auction several personal items through Sotheby's, showcasing memorabilia linked to her fashion partnerships.

In related developments, Courtney Love's recent studio sessions with former Hole bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur have ignited speculation regarding the potential revival of Hole. Despite previously downplaying the prospect, recent performances, including one with Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, have renewed interest in the group's possible return after over two decades since the duo last collaborated. As details unfold, music fans remain eager for updates on both the covers project and Love’s future endeavors in music.
