David Gilmour has released a new video for the title track of his latest studio album, Luck And Strange, featuring the late Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright. The album, Gilmour's fifth solo effort, debuted last week and marks his first new music in nine years. Wright's contributions to the title track stem from jam sessions recorded back in 2007 at Gilmour's barn, where the two musicians laid down tracks together.

Gilmour reminisced about the experience, recalling how the initial jam took place on a cold Monday morning. "What was going through my addled brain I don't know it was fucking freezing in that barn," he mentioned in a recent interview. Despite the challenging conditions, they managed to create music that has now been revived in his latest work. Gilmour stated that even though it feels surreal to play with Wright again through the video, the experience is filled with nostalgia and comfort.

In support of the album, Gilmour has announced two special rehearsal performances at the Brighton Centre on September 20 and 21. This series of intimate shows will provide fans with an exclusive preview of his forthcoming tour, which kicks off for an extensive run in Rome at the Circus Maximus on September 27. The tour will also touch down in London at the Royal Albert Hall, followed by stops in Los Angeles and New York. Fans can expect a mix of new tracks and classic Pink Floyd hits, including a surprise appearance at Hove’s The Neptune Inn where Gilmour performed the timeless track "Wish You Were Here" with his daughter Romany, who also features on Luck And Strange.
