Thomas Road Ministries & LCA is seeking an Early Learning Center Music Teacher to join their team in Lynchburg, Virginia. This position is vital to supporting the mission of Liberty Christian Academy, which aims to assist parents and guardians in nurturing their children in a holistic manner – spiritually, academically, socially, physically, and vocationally.
The Music Teacher will be responsible for providing a diverse range of musical activities for children aged 2-5 years. This includes movement, singing, playing hand instruments, and introducing fundamental concepts of music theory such as rhythm, melody, pitch, and tempo. The candidate will also introduce music composers from various cultures through stories and exploration.
Qualifications for the position include being personable and engaging, having strong vocal skills, and being comfortable working with young children. The candidate should also be able to work independently and possess effective communication skills.
Essential duties include developing and implementing age-appropriate musical experiences that incorporate Bible stories, leading programs at the end of the school year, and conducting open-music classes during Christmas.
