Los Angeles-based artist Edie Yvonne has unveiled her latest project, the Girl Code EP, showcasing a compelling blend of rock and pop sensibilities. Released on September 5, 2024, the EP has quickly garnered attention for its quality songwriting and infectious sound. Collaborators Nicky Swedin and Cormac Liotta handled production duties, enhancing the overall impact of the six-track collection.

Among the standout tracks is "2 U," which features a dynamic mix of invigorating guitar distortion juxtaposed with dreamy vocals, drawing favorable comparisons to acts like Stars and Kero Kero Bonito. The track's chorus builds with an impressive escalation in pitch, delivering an engaging hook. Another highlight, "Delusion," opens with introspective lyrics that evolve into anthemic rhythms, particularly noted for its infectious bridge.

The EP doesn't shy away from showcasing variety, with tracks like "Duh" delivering a hazier pop charm through mellow guitar tones. The diverse soundscapes span from the synth-laden brilliance of "Queen Bee" to the more raucous rock energy featured in "15 (When I Leave)." All tracks from the EP are included in Obscure Sound's Emerging Singles Spotify playlist, available for streaming now.

The Girl Code EP represents a significant step in Edie Yvonne's career, melding diverse influences into a cohesive sonic experience, and bodes well for future releases. Details regarding her promotional campaign were shared via MusoSoup.
