This role requires a musically proficient individual capable of enhancing worship experiences through music. The musician will work closely with the worship leader to coordinate choir and solo music presentations, ensuring that the tempo and style align with the congregation's needs.
The position involves attending rehearsals, worship services, and special programs, focusing on the 11:00 a.m. Protestant Congregation Sunday Worship Services, which occur every week for a total of 52 Sundays. Responsibilities include playing preludes, postludes, and necessary songs during the services, as well as offering musical accompaniment for choirs, ensembles, and soloists during scheduled rehearsals.
A successful candidate should have demonstrated experience in religious worship settings and a background in military culture, as they will engage with a multi-faceted interfaith community. Furthermore, they must be proficient in reading music and executing performances on their instrument, preferably a piano, keyboard, or organ.
