Playbill, Inc. is looking for an experienced Audio Engineer/Supervisor to join their team for the upcoming theatrical season. This pivotal role involves ensuring that all sound elements are executed flawlessly during rehearsals and performances. The ideal candidate will have a passion for audio engineering, coupled with practical experience and strong leadership skills.

The primary responsibilities include operating the sound board during performances, setting up and maintaining audio equipment, and collaborating closely with the Sound Designer and production team. The Audio Engineer will also oversee the daily operations of the audio department, ensuring all technical aspects are managed efficiently.

Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in live sound production, ideally within a theatrical context. Proficiency with digital and analog sound equipment is a must, specifically experience with mixing consoles such as Yamaha QL5 or LS9 and QLab software. Additionally, the successful candidate must have excellent troubleshooting abilities and communication skills, as they will need to coordinate with various departments to facilitate smooth production operations.

Flexible working hours are required, including evenings and weekends, and candidates must be able to safely lift 50 lbs. Playbill, Inc. offers a salary of $700 per week along with single bedroom housing if needed.
