NY Enrichment Group (NYEG) is excited to announce a job opening for enthusiastic Digital Music/DJ & Music Instructors. As part of the largest health, wellness, nutritional, and educational management group for nonprofit social service agencies, NYEG focuses on improving the health and quality of life for the youth in our communities. They are looking for passionate individuals who can bring fun and creativity to music education.
In this role, instructors will lead digital music classes for youth aged 5-10, using platforms like Soundtrap to facilitate engaging lessons. The successful candidate will not only ensure that classes are enjoyable but will also be responsible for building and creating innovative music projects with the students. A strong commitment to professionalism, motivation, and community engagement is expected from applicants.
The role requires candidates to have relevant teaching experience and to be comfortable working with children in a classroom setting of 15-20 students. Preparation and classroom management skills are essential, as is the ability to foster positive relationships with parents and staff. The classes are scheduled to take place on Fridays from October through June in Bronx, NY, requiring candidates to relocate before starting the work.
Candidates must also be COVID vaccinated to apply. Pay ranges from $90.00 to $110.00 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for those with a background in digital music and teaching.
