Ladgov Corporation is currently searching for a skilled Catholic Musician located in Fort Irwin, CA. This role is essential in enhancing the worship experience for the congregation through music. The responsibilities include accompanying choir and solo music presentations, coordinating with the worship leader, and adjusting the tempo and style of music to facilitate active participation during services.
The appointed musician will attend rehearsals and worship services while providing an activity plan and a proposed schedule for Catholic music throughout the year. This position also entails providing musical accompaniment for a variety of groups, including the congregation, choir, and soloists, as directed by the Chaplain or Pastor. The musician must be present at least 30 minutes before each service and 15 minutes before rehearsals to prepare accordingly.
Candidates should be musically proficient in their chosen instrument, usually a pianist, keyboardist, or organist, and have the ability to read music effectively. An understanding of military culture and ministry is highly beneficial, and if the applicant lacks experience with a military chapel, they should be willing to learn about this unique community. This opportunity involves providing musical services 52 Sundays annually and participating in twelve special services/programs throughout the year.
