Lady Gaga has revealed that she is currently pain-free after struggling with fibromyalgia for several years. The pop icon shared her journey with the chronic condition during a recent interview with Vogue, where she stated that her forthcoming album will stem from a place of happiness instead of misery.

Gaga had previously described her experiences with fibromyalgia, which is characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain and other debilitating symptoms, as a nightmare. At points, she expressed concerns she might never perform again. However, following her 'Chromatica Ball' tour in 2022, she felt a significant shift, recalling, "That was the first time I’ve performed not in pain. I did it pain-free!" This tour was particularly meaningful as it was the first time she shared the stage with her fiancé Michael Polansky.

In the interview, Gaga noted how her lifestyle has changed, including the fact that she has not smoked marijuana in years, which she previously relied on to cope with pain. She stated, "I feel like this new album is about that time but from a place of happiness instead of misery."

While details about her new album remain sparse, Gaga has been actively teasing new music. She played snippets from her upcoming album for fans in Paris and hinted that the lead single might arrive in October. This will be her first new material since releasing 'Die With A Smile,' a collaboration with Bruno Mars last month. Additionally, Gaga is set to star in the much-anticipated 'Joker: Folie Deux' with Joaquin Phoenix, which is scheduled for release on October 4, 2024. The film is already generating buzz, with early reactions calling it a contender for movie of the year.
