Tim Oliver, the UK composer and keyboard player operating under the moniker The Silent Room, has officially released his debut single, "You'll Never Know," through his Meddle imprint. This track showcases a unique blend of dreamlike synths and melodic arrangements that echo the styles of notable artists such as M83, TOTO, and Cannons.

You'll Never Know is described as an arpeggiated journey that oscillates between nostalgia and emotional release, reflecting deep-seated themes of remembrance through its thoughtful lyrics. Oliver himself has articulated the essence of the track, stating that it captures "in-between spaces" and the exploration of one's inner life, which can often be both euphoric and hauntingly isolating.

The single serves as a teaser for Oliver's forthcoming EP, "Fluorescent," which is scheduled to drop later this year. The track was self-produced by Oliver, mixed by Julian Kindred, whose portfolio includes work with stars like Ellie Goulding, and mastered by Robin Schmidt, known for his contributions to artists including The 1975 and Wolf Alice.

Collaborators on the forthcoming EP include Jess Greenfield (Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds), Owen Parker (Robbie Williams), Sam Wilcock (Paul Young), and Iain Hornal (ELO), indicating a diverse musical synergy.

Before launching his solo career, Tim Oliver garnered experience as a piano teacher in West London and as a session musician, touring internationally with artists such as Neneh Cherry and Boy George. Additionally, he has built a reputation as a television composer, working on documentaries for major networks like the BBC, Discovery, and Sky.
