Australian artist Lemonade Baby has shared his latest single, titled "Airbnb," showcasing a blend of Jazzy-R&B and Neo-Soul. This release comes in the wake of the artist's announcement last month regarding a new mixtape or album in progress.
The single serves as a follow-up to Lemonade Baby’s collaborative track "Seeing Double," which featured Ronnie Sinclair, known as Alistair Seawright from the band Safety Club. Both songs hint at a promising direction for his forthcoming project.
According to Lemonade Baby, "Airbnb" came together unexpectedly during a writing session with fellow musician Breanna Fielding. During their discussion about life experiences, Fielding mentioned her practice of booking an Airbnb after long performances to avoid the drive home. This inspired the pair, leading them to create a song that explores themes of finding a sanctuary in the hustle and bustle of life.
The production process was swift, with the song taking only a few hours to finish. The artist expressed enthusiasm about the lyrical focus, which revolves around the need for a peaceful space to relax, attributed to the concept of an Airbnb.
Lemonade Baby remarked, "I've always wanted to make a Jazz-R&B/Neo-Soul record, and I'm super excited to include this on my next album." Fans can listen to "Airbnb" now, and more details regarding his upcoming album are set to be revealed soon.
