Oasis has returned to the top of the UK album chart with their 30th anniversary reissue of 'Definitely Maybe', marking their first number one album in 14 years. The reissue sold exceptionally well, achieving a 408 percent increase in sales week-on-week, according to the Official Charts. This re-release features previously discarded Monnow Valley sessions, outtakes from their Sawmills recordings, and an alternative demo version of the track 'Sad Song'.

In addition to the overall album success, the reissue has also topped the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, with over half of its sales coming from vinyl. The reissue has quickly become the most popular album in independent record shops across the UK, as noted by the Official Record Store Chart.

Oasis didn’t just stop at album success. Their compilation album, 'Time Flies... (1994-2009)', clinched the number three spot, while their 1995 release '(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?' came in fourth. The band also saw two of its singles from the 1990s, 'Live Forever' and 'Don’t Look Back In Anger', making notable comebacks into the top ten, landing at number eight and nine, respectively.

Martin Talbot, CEO of the Official Charts, extended congratulations to the Gallagher brothers, reinforcing the enduring appeal of Oasis. Additionally, Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham noted the cultural significance of Oasis in the city and expressed excitement about the buzz surrounding their anticipated tour next year. The announcement of the band's reunion has undoubtedly stirred excitement and nostalgia among fans, reflecting the ongoing relevance of Oasis in today’s music scene.
