The Smashing Pumpkins made a memorable appearance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live on September 17, 2024, performing their latest single "Sighommi" from the surprise album Aghori Mhori Mei. The performance was not limited to just the new track; the band delivered an expansive five-song set for the live audience gathered in the parking lot behind the show's studio in Los Angeles.

In addition to "Sighommi", the Chicago-based group treated fans to three beloved classics from their acclaimed 1995 double album, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness: "1979", "Tonight, Tonight", and "Jellybelly". They also included a cover of U2's "Zoo Station" from the Irish band's 1991 album, Achtung Baby.

Billy Corgan, the lead vocalist, has expressed his artistic intentions behind this latest album, reflecting on the concept of trying to recapture a moment in time through music. In a mid-July announcement about the album, he highlighted the idea of not looking back with sentimentality but rather using the past as inspiration for new creativity.

Fans can watch the full performance of "Sighommi" along with the classics through links available on various platforms, including YouTube. Recently, Corgan also stirred discussions in a New Yorker interview where he shared his thoughts on the perceptions from New York hipsters during the height of the band's '90s fame, particularly targeting Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon.
