Success Academy is on the lookout for a passionate Music Teacher to join their network of high-achieving public charter schools in New York City. With a commitment to providing rigorous and comprehensive education, Success Academy serves over 20,000 scholars across 53 schools. The organization believes in the importance of non-academic subjects, including music, emphasizing that these are essential elements of the educational experience rather than extras.

In the role of Music Teacher, candidates will play a crucial part in fostering a culture where students develop a love for music. This involves not only teaching but also collaborating with other music educators in the network to enhance the overall musical curriculum, organizing performances, and inspiring students through well-structured lessons that emphasize connecting with, performing, and responding to various artistic works.

Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree (or be on track to receive one), have a strong record in engaging students through music, and showcase an understanding of music's cultural contributions. Leadership experience, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities are essential for success in this position. Starting compensation is set at $60,000 along with a comprehensive benefits program.

The application process has already begun and will continue on a rolling basis for both immediate vacancies and the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Interested applicants can find more information and apply through the original job listing.
