British band The 1975 has officially announced the upcoming release of their highly anticipated fifth studio album, titled 'Being Funny In A Foreign Language'. Scheduled to drop on October 14, 2022, the album promises a fresh sonic direction while still encapsulating the band's signature sound.

The band revealed the news through a series of teaser posts, including a promotional video that hints at the themes and aesthetics of the new record. The first single, 'Part of the Band', was released recently, receiving praise for its introspective lyrics and polished production. In a departure from their previous works, the lead vocalist Matty Healy shared that this album focuses on more personal narratives and aims to connect deeper with listeners.

Production for 'Being Funny In A Foreign Language' was carried out by the band alongside their regular collaborator, producer Jonathan Gilmore. The combination of their creative synergy and fresh influences is expected to elevate the sound while still adhering to the pop-rock roots that fans have come to love.
