Tim Commerford, the bass guitarist of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, has announced an upcoming UK and European tour with his new band, 7D7D. The tour will kick off on October 24, 2024, at Lisboa ao Vivo in Lisbon, Portugal. Commerford is joined by drummer Mathias Wakrat and guitarist Jonny Polonsky in this side project, which debuted with the single 'Capitalism' in 2022.

The 2024 tour will include multiple stops across Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands before wrapping up with a highly anticipated intimate show on November 8 at The Underworld in Camden, London. Ticket sales are currently open for all dates and can be purchased through various platforms.

Here’s a complete list of the tour dates:

  • October 24: Lisbon, Portugal - Lisboa ao Vivo (LAV)
  • October 25: Oporto, Portugal - Hard Club Room 2
  • October 27: Santiago de Compostela, Spain - Sala Capitol
  • October 28: Madrid, Spain - Mon Live
  • October 30: Barcelona, Spain - La (2) de Apolo
  • November 1: Bilbao, Spain - Santana27
  • November 3: Bologna, Italy - Alchemica Music Club
  • November 5: Tilburg, Netherlands - O1
  • November 8: London, UK - The Underworld

Commerford expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that it has significantly influenced him and he feels fortunate to work with talented musicians like Wakrat and Polonsky. The band has also been recording music over the past few years and looks forward to performing live, following months of preparation.

In related news, Commerford's comments on the status of Rage Against the Machine have sparked intrigue. Earlier this year, he mentioned uncertainty surrounding the band's future after drummer Brad Wilk suggested they may have disbanded. Commerford remarked, "I’m the bass player; I just wait for someone to tell me what to do." Rage Against the Machine had postponed their North American tour in early 2023 due to lead vocalist Zack de la Rocha's injury.
