Robin Guy, the esteemed drummer known for his work with notable rock bands such as Rachel Stamp, Sham 69, and All About Eve, has unfortunately passed away at the age of 55 on September 8, 2024. His wife, Jessica Rushton, announced the news on his Facebook page, where she expressed deep sorrow and encouraged friends and fans to share their memories of him. "This is the hardest thing I will ever have to write. With absolute devastation I have to announce the passing of the brightest star, Robin, after a 6 year battle with cancer," Rushton shared.

Guy's passing has prompted an outpouring of tributes from the music community. Julianne Regan, the lead singer of All About Eve, reflected on Guy's impact, saying, "Gone, but what an impression he made. It was such a privilege to have known him." Music journalist Simon Price highlighted Guy's electric performances, noting how his dynamic energy added excitement to every show. Professor Marcus Smith, who collaborated with Guy in the Clem Burke Drumming Project, also paid tribute, calling him a "fantastic person" and underscoring the lasting influence he had on those who knew him.
